I was reading an excerpt of howl on nat's blog and I realised I don't like the style of writing all that much. The tempo's too fast , conjures up too many images in the brain til slowly the brain wears down. But yishu and nat like it , to each his/her own I suppose

Personally I like slow tempo-ed books , like my perennial favourite the BFG , agatha christie , where romance is emphasized, and punctuation exerts as much influence as words , lending a steady beat , steady rhythm to the book like what mr woolhead says bum de bum de bum de bum (lend your own inflections to the verse, I'm weird that way. This is also why i prefer LOTR to say , The Bell Jar.

Is it odd?
